Radio Show on Cam FM – Can & Dec’s Thursday Night Takeaway

Hosted by our Director, Fiammetta Fuller Gale, the show airs fortnightly at 7pm on Thursdays, on Cam FM (the radio station run by students and alumni from the University of Cambridge).

In conversation with a student composer guest each episode, Fiammetta presents half an hour of music for choirs and vocal ensembles that you won’t find in the classical canon. From the fabulously niche to the extraordinarily obscure, this show centres the music of composers from under-represented and minority groups, from the twelfth century to the present day.

The show won ‘Best New Show’ at the Cam FM Awards 2020.

DONNE – Women in Music

Founded in 2018 by Soprano Gabriella Di Laccio, DONNE is a charitable foundation which aims to promote equality and diversity in music by celebrating and amplifying the voices of female composers. Amongst the foundation’s many projects is ‘The Big List’, which includes the names of over 6000 female composers, from the twelfth century to the present day. Our Director, Fiammetta Fuller Gale, is Database Co-ordinator for the project.
